DLNR MEDIA ADVISORY: First statewide summit on Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death

Scientists, researchers and foresters leading the fight against the devastating fungal disease, Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death, meet on O‘ahu for the first ever statewide summit on this disease.  Rapid ʻŌhiʻa Death has killed tens of thousands of acres of ʻōhiʻa on Hawai‘i Island and a federal and state interagency partnership is working to determine the cause and potential treatments. Key participants will be available to discuss the latest information.
