OAHU LANE CLOSURES FOR
THE WEEKEND OF SEPT. 25 – SEPT. 27

— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) SALT LAKE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two right lane closures on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between Radford Drive overpass and Nimitz Highway on Sunday, Sept. 27, through Friday, Oct. 2, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for pavement markings.

 

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on the eastbound Airport offramp (Exit 16) to Paiea Street/Aolele Street on Sunday, Sept. 27, through Friday, Oct. 2, from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m., for The Rail project.

3) PEARL HARBOR (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on the Joint Base PBHH/Nimitz Highway offramp (Exit 15) from the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction on Sunday, Sept. 27, through Friday, Oct. 2, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for The Rail project.

— H-201 MOANALUA FREEWAY —

 

1) HALAWA (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Two right lane closures on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the westbound direction in the vicinity of the Stadium/Halawa/Camp Smith offramp (Exit 1E) on Sunday, Sept. 27, through Monday, Sept. 28, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for marking installations.

 

 

— FARRINGTON HIGHWAY (ROUTES 93/930) —

 

1) WAIANAE (WEEKEND CLOSURE)

Right lane closure on Farrington Highway (Route 93) in the eastbound direction between Maipalaoa Road and St. John’s Road on Monday, Sept. 28, through Friday, Oct. 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., for the Maipalaoa Bridge Replacement project.

The eastbound shoulder and right lane will be closed over a 24-hour period, seven days a week. Two lanes will remain open in the eastbound direction and one lane in the westbound direction for morning rush hour. For afternoon rush hour, two lanes will be open in the westbound direction and one lane in the eastbound direction around 3 p.m.

 

2) WAIPAHU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lanes will be closed as needed on Farrington Highway (Route 7101) in both directions between Fort Weaver Road and the H-1 Freeway Overpass (near Leeward Community College), on Sunday, Sept. 27, through Friday, Oct. 2, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail.

— KAMEHAMEHA HIGHWAY (ROUTES 80/83/99) —

 

1) KALIHI (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Middle Street and Laumaka Street on Sunday, Sept. 27, through Friday, Oct. 2, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail.

Alternating lane closure on Kamehameha Highway in both directions between the H-1/H-2 Split and Halawa Interchange on Sunday, Sept. 27, through Friday, Oct. 2, over a 24-hour period, for The Rail.

— LIKELIKE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 63) —

 

1) KALIHI TO KANEOHE (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Full closure of Likelike Highway (Route 63) in the northbound direction between Valley View Drive and Kahekili Highway on Sunday night, Sept. 27, through Friday morning, Oct. 2, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for road resurfacing. Drivers coming out of Nalanieha Street will not be able to make a right turn onto Likelike Highway.

 

 

— NIMITZ HIGHWAY (ROUTE 92) —

 

1) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Three left lane closures on Nimitz Highway (Route 92) in the westbound direction between Pacific Street and River Street on Sunday, Sept. 27, through Friday, Oct. 2, from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., for resurfacing work.

 

2) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Nimitz Highway in both directions between River Street and Richards Street over a 24-hour period, seven days a week.

Full closure of Ualena Street nightly Sunday, Sept. 27, through Friday, Oct. 2, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for The Rail. Motorists and pedestrians will be detoured and on street parking will not be allowed.

 

One-way traffic in the westbound direction will take place on Sunday night, Sept. 27, through Friday morning, Oct. 2, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m.

— MAMALAHOA HIGHWAY (ROUTE 11) —   

1) KAU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 45.5 and 47.5, near Kapapala Ranch Road, on Saturday, Sept. 26, through Friday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscape maintenance. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

2) KAU

Single lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 88 and 92, Lani Kona Road and Ohia Malu Road, on Saturday, Sept. 26, through Friday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., for landscape maintenance. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

— VOLCANO ROAD (ROUTE 11) — 

1) HILO

Closure of single lane at a time on Volcano Road (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 5 and 7, Ikaika Street and Keaau Loop, on Saturday, September 26, through Friday, October 2, from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscape maintenance.

 

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

1) HILO

Closure of single lane at a time on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between mile markers 4 and 9, between Kulana Kea Drive and Onohi Loop, on Saturday, September 26, through Friday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., for landscape maintenance. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

2) HAMAKUA

Closure of single lane at a time on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between mile markers 28 and 30, between Stevens Road and Old Mamalahoa Highway, on Saturday, September 26, through Friday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., for tree trimming work. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

 

— QUEEN KAAHUMANU HIGHWAY (ROUTE 19) —

1) KONA

Closure of single lane at a time on Queen Kaahumanu Highway (Route 19) in both directions between mile markers 96 and 99.5, between Ala Nui Kaloko and Palani Road, on Saturday, September 26, through Friday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., for landscape maintenance. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

— KEAAU-PAHOA ROAD (ROUTE 130) —

1) PUNA (24-HOUR WORK)

Lane shift on Keaau-Pahoa Road (Route 130) in both directions between mile markers 7.5 and 7.9, Ilima Street and Ainaloa Boulevard, on Saturday, September 26, through Friday, October 2, over a 24-hour period, for construction of the Ainaloa Roundabout.

 

— AKONI PULE HIGHWAY (ROUTE 270) —

1) NORTH KOHALA

Single lane closure on Akoni Pule Highway (Route 270) in both directions between mile markers 23 and 24, near Pratt Road and Akana Place, on Saturday, September 26, through Friday, October 2, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m., for tree trimming work. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).
