DOH NEWS RELEASE: New Developmental Disabilities Division website offers improved access

Posted on Jul 20, 2018 in Latest News

HONOLULU – Easy-to-read and easy-to-access information are the focus of the new Department of Health Developmental Disabilities Division (DDD) website. It’s full of resources for all types of users including people with disabilities, families, providers and the general public.
Get easier access to forms and applications and information about DDD services. Find articles, contact information, and links to resources, all a convenient click or two away from the home page.

The DDD understood how accessing state services could be confusing for anyone. “We created a website that is easier to navigate, more educational and interactive,” said Mary Brogan, the division’s administrator. “We hope the new website better meets the needs of the community and provides people across the state with current information and resources.”

The improved website includes practical information on:

– How to apply for division services
– Available services and support for participants and families
– Resources for providers and caregivers

Visit the new DDD website at health.hawaii.gov/ddd.

The website is expected to receive more than 50,000 views in the coming year and is the 15th most visited site on the Department of Health’s website.
