— H-1 FREEWAY —

1) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the Piikoi Street onramp and the Keeaumoku Street overpass on Monday night, Dec. 9, through Friday morning, Dec. 13, from 10 p.m. to 4 a.m., for sign work.

 

2) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on the eastbound Airport offramp (Exit 16) to Paiea Street/Aolele Street on Monday night, Dec. 9, through Friday morning, Dec. 13, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., for The Rail project.

3) HONOLULU (NIGHT WORK)

Roving two lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between the Kalaeloa Boulevard overpass and the Punahou Street overpass on Monday night, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for signage work.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Left lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between Kaahumanu Street overpass and Kaimakani Street overpass on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m., for lighting work.

 

5) HONOLULU

Lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kapiolani Interchange and Ainakoa Avenue on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for shoulder improvements. The speed limit in this area is reduced to 40 mph during closure hours.

 

6) HONOLULU TO KAPOLEI

Roving lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in both directions between Middle Street and Kualakai Parkway on Saturday, on Friday, Dec. 13, from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

7) KAHALA (MARATHON CLOSURE)

Closures on state roadways will begin at 12:30 a.m. on Ala Moana Boulevard from Atkinson Drive to Ward Avenue. At approximately 2:30 a.m. Nimitz Highway will be closed from Ala Moana Boulevard to Nuuanu Avenue. At approximately 4:55 a.m. Ala Moana Boulevard will be closed from Piikoi Street to Kalakaua Avenue. At approximately 4:30 a.m. the eastbound lanes of Kalanianaole Highway will be closed from Ainakoa Avenue to Keahole Street and traffic will be contraflowed in the westbound lanes. The eastbound lanes on Waialae Avenue will be closed as well from Kilauea Avenue to Kalanianaole Highway. As runners reach Waialae Avenue, motorists on the eastbound H-1 Freeway will be detoured to the Waialae Avenue offramp (Exit 26B). The race begins on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 5 a.m. and routes will be opened as the last participants can be safely ushered onto the sidewalk or the volume of participants no longer cause a hazard.

Right lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction in the vicinity of the Kapolei/Ewa offramp (Exit 3) and Makakilo Drive overpass on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., for trench work.

 

9) PEARL HARBOR (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)

Lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Nimitz Highway/Hickam AFB offramp (Exit 15) and the Airport offramp (Exit 16) on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 15, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m., for The Rail project.

Right lane closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the westbound direction between the Middle Street overpass and Ahua Street overpass on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for utility work.

 

2) MOANALUA

Left lane closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Fort Shafter/King Street offramp and the Middle Street overpass, on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for lighting work.

 

3) MOANALUA

Lane closure on the H-201 Moanalua Freeway in both directions in the vicinity of Puuloa Road overpass on Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m., for debris removal.

1) KAILUA TO HALAWA Roving lane closure on the H-3 Freeway in both directions between the Halawa Interchange and the Halekou Interchange on Monday, Dec. 9, through Wednesday, Dec. 11, from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., for sign and delineator installations.

Right lane closure on the H-3 Freeway in both directions at the Kaneohe Bay Drive intersection on Friday, Dec. 13, from 7:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for maintenance work.

Right lane closure on Kahekili Highway (Route 83) in both directions between Haiku Road and Likelike Highway on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for grass trimming and maintenance work.

 

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY (ROUTES 61/72) —

1) AINA HAINA TO HAWAII KAI (MARATHON CLOSURE)

Closures on state roadways will begin at 12:30 a.m. on Ala Moana Boulevard from Atkinson Drive to Ward Avenue. Access is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Access is available on weekdays from 5 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Closures on state roadways will begin at 12:30 a.m. on Ala Moana Boulevard from Atkinson Drive to Ward Avenue. At approximately 2:30 a.m. Nimitz Highway will be closed from Ala Moana Boulevard to Nuuanu Avenue. At approximately 4:55 a.m. Ala Moana Boulevard will be closed from Piikoi Street to Kalakaua Avenue. At approximately 4:30 a.m. the eastbound lanes of Kalanianaole Highway will be closed from Ainakoa Avenue to Keahole Street and traffic will be contraflowed in the westbound lanes. The eastbound lanes on Waialae Avenue will be closed as well from Kilauea Avenue to Kalanianaole Highway. As runners reach Waialae Avenue, motorists on the eastbound H-1 Freeway will be detoured to the Waialae Avenue offramp (Exit 26B). The race begins on Sunday, Dec. 8, at 5 a.m. and routes will be opened as the last participants can be safely ushered onto the sidewalk or the volume of participants no longer cause a hazard.

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions between mile markers 56 and 57 in the vicinity of Punaluu Black Sand Beach (Ninole Loop Rd.) on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for bridge reconstruction work. Traffic will be detoured through temporary bypass bridges for the duration of remaining construction operations.

 

2) SOUTH KONA
Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions in the vicinity of mile markers 97 and 101, Haleili Road and Hookena Beach Road, on Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work.

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of mile markers 2 and 7, Wailuku Bridge to Kopilimai Road. The single lane closure is scheduled Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for striping work. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

2) NORTH HILO (NIGHT WORK)
Closure of Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) near Honolii Bridge in both directions between mile markers 4 and 5, Nahala Street to Paukaa Drive on Wednesday night, Dec. 11, through Thursday morning, Dec. 12, from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., to allow Hawaii Electric Light technicians to complete pole replacement work.

Occasional partial lane closures may be necessary starting Monday, Dec. 9, to prepare for the work. Motorists are advised to drive with caution in the construction area and expect delays. An alternate route is available via Kahoa Street.

 

3) NORTH HILO
Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of mile markers 18 and 22, Opea Bridge to Maulua Bridge. The single lane closure is scheduled Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13, from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., for landscaping work. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).

 

4) PAAUILO
Alternating lane closure of one lane at a time on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of mile markers 35 and 39, between East Paauilo Bridge and Kalopa Bridge. The single lane closure is scheduled Monday, Dec. 9, through Friday, Dec. 13 from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m for guardrail work. Traffic flow in both directions will be maintained through alternating traffic control (contraflow).
