— H-1 FREEWAY —

 

1) HONOLULU (SHOULDER CLOSURE)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Pali Highway overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Friday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 12, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

2) HONOLULU (SHOULDER CLOSURE)

24-hour shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Kalihi Street overpass and the Liliha Street overpass on Friday, Oct. 5, through Friday, Oct. 12, for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

3) HONOLULU (WEEKEND/NIGHT WORK)
Two right lanes closed on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Queen Emma Street overpass and the Houghtailing Street underpass on Sunday night, Oct. 7, through Friday morning, Oct. 12, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for guardrail and shoulder improvements.

 

4) HONOLULU (WEEKEND WORK)

Lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Nimitz Highway offramp (Exit 15) and the Middle Street/Dillingham Boulevard offramp (Exit 18B) on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 5:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., for bridge maintenance.

 

5) HONOLULU
Roving lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in both directions in the vicinity of Ola Lane on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., for bridge maintenance.

 

6) KAIMUKI (SHOULDER CLOSURE)

Right shoulder closure on the H-1 Freeway in the westbound direction between the Hunakai Street underpass and the 21st Avenue underpass on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for sign work.

Left lane closure on the H-1 Freeway in the eastbound direction between the Wakea Street onramp and the Kualakai Parkway underpass on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for the Kapolei Interchange Complex Phase 2 project.

Nightly single lane closure on Farrington Highway in both directions between Haleakala Avenue and Nanakuli Avenue beginning Monday night, Oct. 8, through Friday morning, Oct. 12, from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., for traffic signal installation.

Roving lane closure on Kahekili Highway in both directions between Likelike Highway and Haiku Road on Monday, Oct. 8, through Thursday, Oct. 11, from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., for maintenance work.

 

2) KANEOHE

Lane closure on Kahekili Highway in the northbound direction in the vicinity of Hui Iwa Street on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for drain improvements. The bike lane and sidewalk will be closed during this time.

 

 

— KALANIANAOLE HIGHWAY —

 

1) AINA HAINA (WEEKEND + NIGHT WORK)

Lane closures on Kalanianaole Highway in the westbound direction between West Hind Drive and the beginning of the route where it meets the H-1 Freeway on Sunday night, Oct. 7, through Friday morning, Oct. 12, from 8 p.m. to 4 a.m., for resurfacing work. Traffic will be contraflowed in the eastbound direction.

 

2) WAIMANALO

Lane shifts and possible single lane closure on Kalanianaole Highway in both directions between Olomana Golf Course and Poalima Street on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail installation, driveway and sidewalk reconstructions, and relocation of utilities. If work can safely be done in the shoulders, then both lanes will be open to motorists.

Closure of Kamehameha Highway in both directions between Ka Uka Boulevard and Lanikuhana Avenue from 9 p.m. on Friday night, Oct. 5, continuously through 5 a.m. on Monday morning, Oct. 8, for the Roosevelt (Kipapa Stream) Bridge Rehabilitation and pavement striping. Use the H-2 Freeway as an alternate route.

Traffic will be contraflowed.

 

Pedestrians are directed to use the east sidewalk as the west shared use walk and bike path is closed on a 24/7 basis.

1) ELEELE

Lane closure on Kaumualii Highway (Route 50) at the Eleele Road/Waialo Road intersection on Wednesday, Oct. 10, from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., for inspection of the pedestrian overpass. The west driveway into and out of the shopping center will be closed temporarily. The shopping center may be accessed via Waialo Road.

 

 

— KAUAI VETERANS MEMORIAL HIGHWAY (ROUTE 51) —

 

1) LIHUE

Lane shifts on Kauai Veterans Memorial Highway (formerly Kapule Highway) in both directions between Halau Street and Ahukini Road on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, for striping work.

 

 

— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTE 56) —

 

1) KILAUEA TO PRINCEVILLE
Shoulder closure and lane shift on Kuhio Highway (Route 56) in both directions between Wailapa Road and the end of Route 56 in Princeville on Tuesday, Oct. 9, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for sign installations, striping and rumble strip grooving.

 

2) LIHUE TO PRINCEVILLE

Short lane closures in both directions with alternating traffic control along Kuhio Highway (Route 56) from the beginning of the route in Lihue to the end of the route in Princeville beginning Friday, Oct. 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for vegetation control and roadside maintenance. Additional closures for maintenance may be needed the following week.

 

 

— KUHIO HIGHWAY (ROUTE 560) —

 

1) WAIKOKO TO WAINIHA (EMERGENCY WORK, LOCAL ACCESS BY CONVOY)

Alternating lane closure on Nawiliwili Road in both directions between Kanani Street and the end of the route where it meets Kaumualii Highway on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for panel and curb replacements.

Short lane closures in both directions with alternating traffic control on Ahukini Road (Route 570) from the beginning of the route at the intersection with Kuhio Highway to the end of the route at its intersection with Kauai Veterans Memorial Highway Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for vegetation control and roadside maintenance. Intermittent closure of Hana Highway (Route 360) at Mile Marker 7.8 (before Oopuola Bridge) from Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. for mitigation work and slope reinforcement. The intermittent closures will be in 15-30-minute intervals for the safety of the traveling public as HDOT works to install measures to prevent future rockfalls and landslides.

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 30 near Volcano National Park, seven days a week over a 24-hour period, for road repairs due to volcanic activity.

 

2) VOLCANO/KAU

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 29, south of the Volcano National Park entrance, on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for road repairs due to volcanic activity.

 

3) VOLCANO/KAU

Alternating lane closure on Mamalahoa Highway (Route 11) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 32 near the Namakani Paio Camp Ground in Volcano National Park, on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for road repairs due to volcanic activity.

 

 

— HAWAII BELT ROAD (ROUTE 19) —

 

1) SOUTH HILO (WEEKEND WORK + 24/7 CLOSURE FROM MONDAY, OCT. 8)

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 11 in Pepeekeo on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

 

24/7 closure of the Hilo-bound lane of Hawaii Belt Road at Mile Marker 11 with alternating traffic control begins Monday, Oct. 8, and is expected to run through Friday, Oct. 12. Lane closures in this are for road repairs and installation of a subsurface drainage system. Additional closures for the drainage installation are expected.

 

2) SOUTH HILO (WEEKEND WORK + WEEKDAY)

Alternating lane closure on Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions in the vicinity of Mile Marker 7.1 in Papaikou (between on Saturday, Oct. 6, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., for installation of a retaining wall.

 

3) SOUTH HILO

Alternating lane closure on Bay Front Highway/Hawaii Belt Road (Route 19) in both directions between Mile Markers 2.45 and 9.78 in the vicinity of Wailuku Bridge to Waiaama Stream Bridge on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., for paving work.

 

 

— KOHALA MOUNTAIN ROAD (ROUTE 250) —

 

1) SOUTH KOHALA

Alternating lane closure on Kohala Mountain Road (Route 250) in both directions between Mile Markers 7.2 and 9.2 on Monday, Oct. 8, through Friday, Oct. 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., for guardrail work.
