PSD News Release: DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC SAFETY COVID-19 UPDATE

HONOLULU – COVID-19 testing is continuously being conducted in the state prisons and jails as well as in the contracted Saguaro Correctional Center in Eloy, AZ. The latest testing updates received for the correctional facilities are as follows:

Hawaii Community Correctional Center – 74 inmate test results; 17 positive, 57 negative. Three (3) staff recoveries were reported.

Halawa Correctional Facility – 91 inmate test results; 12 positive, 79 negative. One (1) staff recovery was reported.

Maui Community Correctional Center – 33 inmate test results; Two (2) positive, 31 negative. 15 inmates and one (1) employee have recovered.

Oahu Community Correctional Center – 38 inmate test results; One (1) positive, 37 negative. One (1) staff recovery was reported.

Kulani Correctional Facility –Three (3) positive staff test results and one (1) staff recovery. One (1) negative inmate test result.

Women’s Community Correctional Center – One (1) positive employee test result.
