The Department of Public Safety’s Narcotics Enforcement Division (NED) K9 Kahu will receive a bullet-and stab-protective vest, thanks to a charitable donation from nonprofit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Kahu is assigned as NED’s electronic storage device detection dog, and his main duty is to help with criminal investigations by locating hidden electronic storage devices. Delivery of the vest is expected within eight to ten weeks.
